The marketing site for Sab Fried Rice, a Thai and Lao restaurant in Fort Smith, Arkansas. It gives locals the menu, hours, address and ordering links, and gives Google the structured data it needs to show them correctly.

I took over a bought theme and rebuilt it. The homepage was shipping around 42 MB of camera-original photos and a 2.99 MB JavaScript vendor bundle. I wrote a Python/Pillow script that generates WebP derivatives, replaced mapbox-gl, FontAwesome, Bootstrap JS, Flickity, Isotope and Jarallax with about 3 KB of hand-written JavaScript, and put a webpack performance budget in the build so it cannot regress.

I also moved hours, address and order links into one JSON file so they stop drifting between pages, and redesigned the palette and type with every contrast pair measured.
