A single-page portfolio for a painter who works between Sun Valley, Idaho and Uzès, France. It shows her paintings by theme and gives collectors and galleries a way to reach her.
I built it as a small Flask app: one route renders the whole page, and all copy lives in an English/French dictionary in app.py, with the visitor's choice kept in the session so the language toggle never reloads elsewhere.
The gallery is thirty paintings grouped into five categories, filtered client-side with plain JavaScript so switching themes is instant. I pre-generated thumbnail, medium and large versions of every image and wired them into srcset/sizes with lazy loading, which was the main performance decision on a site whose entire content is photographs of paintings.
